Location-Based Services (Buku)

Pengertian Location-Based Services merupakan suatu konsep baru yang dapat dituliskan sebagai aplikasi yang mengintegrasikan antara letak geografis (geographic location), contoh : koordinat spasial, dengan dengan suatu fasilitas pelayanan. Aplikasinya dapat berupa pelayanan gawat darurat (emergency system), Car Navigation System, Tour Planning System atau "YellowMap" kombinasi antara yellow pages dan Peta (Map). Semakin berkembangnya produk elektronik system ini akan sangat berguna, bisa diaplikasikan pada PDA, Handphone, Notebook dan lain sebagainya.

Peta Satelit Dunia

Mosaic Global satellite memperlihatkan keindahan dan kompleksitas permukaan bumi baik diatas maupun dibawah laut dengan sangat jelas. Mosaic ini di buat Jet Propulsion Laboratory milik NASA untuk National Geographic Society, dengan menggunakan lebih dari 500 gambar satelit dari NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration).
Image yang tanpa awan memperlihatkan bumi secara natural, akan tampak sama ketika kita melihat dari angkasa.
